CVE-2025-70308Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via unterminated magic-field logging

Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in GPAC 2.4.0's GSF demuxer allows attackers to crash the process by supplying a crafted .gsf file. The gsfdmx_tune function allocates exactly the declared magic-field length without a NUL terminator, then logs the buffer through an unbounded %s formatter. The file must be processed through a filter graph that instantiates gsfdmx; the demonstrated consequence is a process crash, while log-based disclosure remains unproven.
