Unauthenticated service interruption via unbounded sprintf
Published Mar 3, 2026 · Updated Mar 3, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-513 firmware 1.10 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a crafted curTime parameter. The goform/formSetWANType_Wizard5 handler passes curTime through v3 to sprintf without a length bound, allowing an oversized HTTP POST value to overwrite its stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; published evidence demonstrates the overflow but does not establish code execution or data access.
