Service interruption via unbounded curTime formatting
Published Mar 3, 2026 · Updated Mar 3, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in the WAN wizard of D-Link DIR-513 1.10 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted curTime value. The handler passes the attacker-controlled curTime parameter through sprintf into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing a length bound. An unauthenticated network request is sufficient; overflowing the buffer corrupts process memory and can interrupt router service without affecting data confidentiality or integrity.
