Unauthenticated device compromise via curtime stack overflow
Published Mar 4, 2026 · Updated Mar 4, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in D-Link DIR-513 firmware 1.10 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted curtime value. The formEasySetupWWConfig handler passes the request's curtime parameter through a local variable to sprintf without enforcing the destination stack buffer's capacity. No authentication or user interaction is required; a single oversized HTTP POST can corrupt process memory, enabling device compromise or a service crash.
