MITM interception via disabled certificate validation
Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026
Improper certificate validation in oslabs-beta ThermaKube master allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept API traffic. The API request options set rejectUnauthorized to false, so the TLS client accepts spoofed server certificates instead of validating the certificate chain. Exploitation requires an attacker to occupy the network path; intercepted requests expose sensitive data transmitted to the spoofed endpoint.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
