Authenticated code execution via blacklist-bypassing file upload
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Monstra CMS 3.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the Files Manager plugin. FilesmanagerAdmin::main checks the extracted extension only against a forbidden-type list, then moves accepted content into the web-accessible public uploads directory without validating its content. Backend Files Manager access and a server configured to execute an accepted extension are required, after which code runs with the web server account's privileges.
