Code execution via CATPRODUCT parser use-after-free
Published Jul 15, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025
Use-after-free in Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS eDrawings 2025 SP0 through SP2 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted CATPRODUCT file. The CATPRODUCT parser performs operations on an object without validating that it still exists, causing reuse of freed memory. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file, and code runs in the context of the eDrawings process.
