Service interruption via unchecked import filename
Published Feb 5, 2026 · Updated Feb 5, 2026
Path traversal in joa.zipper.editor 1.6.2 allows local users to interrupt service by importing a crafted file from a malicious app. The joa.zipper.editor.Main import flow trusts a ContentProvider-supplied display name and file content, so traversal segments select an attacker-chosen path in the application's internal storage. A victim must launch the malicious app; repeated oversized writes can exhaust storage or memory and leave the editor unable to operate.
