CVE-2025-69426Network attack vector

Unauthenticated root command execution via hardcoded SSH credentials

Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026

Hardcoded credentials in RUCKUS IoT Controller firmware before 3.0.0.0 allow remote attackers to execute OS commands as root. An initialization script embeds an operating-system account password, while unrestricted SSH permits local port forwarding to the Docker socket. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient to mount the host filesystem through Docker, escape the container, and obtain complete root control of the controller.
