Engine impersonation via user-controlled authorization key
Published Jul 2, 2025 · Updated Jul 2, 2025
Authorization bypass in Delinea Secret Server On-Premises 11.7.49 and earlier allows local users to impersonate a distributed engine. The initial authorization event in Distributed Engine 8.4.39.0 and earlier trusts a user-controlled key to select engine identity, authorizing one engine as another; no finer code-level detail is public. A highly privileged local user must trigger the flow with user interaction, and successful exploitation is bounded to the impersonated engine's authorized access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
