CVE-2025-69415Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account-token disclosure via stale device authorization

Published Jan 2, 2026 · Updated Jan 2, 2026

Authorization failure in Plex Media Server 1.42.2.10156 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain sensitive account data. The /myplex/account endpoint accepts a device token without checking whether the presenting device remains associated with an account, then returns account details and tokens. Possession of a device token is required; a removed or otherwise unassociated device retains access to account credentials.
