Subscriber-level file deletion via path traversal
Published Feb 20, 2026 · Updated Feb 20, 2026
Path traversal in Vanquish User Extra Fields 17.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The plugin's file-deletion path accepts a user-controlled pathname without restricting resolution to the intended upload location. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; deleting wp-config.php or other critical files can interrupt the WordPress site, while code execution depends on the selected file and server configuration.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
