Browser script execution via unfiltered accordion details
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Stored XSS in ThemePoints Accordion WP 3.0.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The theme renderer inserts custom_accordions_pro_details into accordion HTML after shortcode expansion without allowlist filtering, while title values use attribute escaping in an HTML text context. Editor-level access is required, and exploitation is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; visiting a page containing the saved accordion triggers the script.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
