Unauthenticated review modification via missing ownership checks
Published Jan 6, 2026 · Updated Jan 6, 2026
Missing authorization in Car Rental Manager 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to edit or delete guest-submitted reviews. The front-end review handlers accept a comment ID and public review nonce without verifying moderator status or that the logged-in requester authored the review. Unauthenticated access is sufficient, and the consequence is limited to unauthorized modification or deletion of review content.
