Protected-data access via static Qlync root password

Hard-coded credentials in D-Link DCS-7517 2.02.0 and earlier allow remote attackers to access protected data through the Qlync account. When Network.PnP.Provider is set to Qlync, /bin/httpd's g_F_n_GenPassForQlync function hashes a fixed string with a fixed salt and writes a UID 0 qlync entry to /etc/passwd. Exploitation requires the Qlync provider configuration, and the published assessment limits the resulting security impact to confidentiality.
