CVE-2025-69261Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Runtime crash via wrapped memory-span size

Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025

Integer overflow in WasmEdge before 0.16.0-alpha.3 allows attackers to crash the runtime through a crafted WASI polling call. MemoryInstance::getSpan() truncates sizeof(T) * Count to 32 bits before checkAccessBound(), so a wrapped byte length passes validation and produces an out-of-bounds span. Executing untrusted WebAssembly with an oversized event count reaches WasiPollOneoff() and terminates the hosting process with a segmentation fault.
