Request smuggling via Unicode-folded HTTP headers
Published Jan 5, 2026 · Updated Jan 5, 2026
HTTP request smuggling in aio-libs aiohttp before 3.13.3 allows remote attackers to bypass proxy or firewall protections. The pure-Python HTTP parser lowercases non-ASCII Transfer-Encoding, Upgrade, and Content-Encoding values before comparing them with ASCII protocol tokens. Exposure requires absent C extensions or AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS, and the resulting parser discrepancy permits intermediary protection bypass.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
