CVE-2025-69223Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Server memory exhaustion via unbounded request decompression

Published Jan 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Denial of service in aiohttp 3.13.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to exhaust server memory with compressed HTTP requests. DeflateBuffer passes each encoded request chunk to the selected decompressor without an output limit, allowing a small gzip, deflate, Brotli, or Zstandard body to expand until memory is depleted. The server must accept compressed request bodies with automatic decompression enabled; exploitation interrupts availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
