Access-request spoofing in Signal K Server before 2.19.0 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator-approved elevated access. The handler accepts client-supplied permissions and trusts X-Forwarded-For, while the admin UI emphasizes a misleading description over the requested role. Exploitation requires an administrator to approve the request; approval grants the attacker the requested administrative permissions.
