Survey and poll modification via missing capability checks
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
Missing authorization in Crowdsignal Forms 1.7.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify survey and poll data. The affected code performs survey creation and updates through client-side REST API calls without enforcing the edit_post capability. Author-level access is required; exploitation can alter survey or poll content and disrupt its intended operation.
