CVE-2025-68971Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via unbounded attachment buffering

Published Mar 16, 2026 · Updated Mar 16, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Forgejo through 13.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service via a large attachment upload. Attachment processing temporarily buffers uploaded file fragments in memory without enforcing a bound tied to available memory. Any account able to attach files to an issue or release can exhaust host memory, causing the operating system to kill Forgejo and potentially other services.
