Credential phishing via unsanitized contact notes
Published Dec 27, 2025 · Updated Dec 27, 2025
Stored HTML injection in Libredesk before 0.8.6-beta allows remote authenticated users to plant deceptive content in contact notes. The notes endpoint persists intercepted note HTML without server-side sanitization, and ContactNotes.vue renders it inside the application. An account able to add notes and a victim who views them are required; injected forms or images can phish credentials or trigger HTML-only actions.
