Path traversal in the Nahimic Audio Service in SteelSeries Nahimic 3 1.10.7 allows local users to gain NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM privileges. The privileged service follows attacker-controlled reparse points because file handles are opened without FILE_FLAG_OPEN_REPARSE_POINT, allowing linked paths to escape the intended directory. A low-privileged Windows account is required, and successful exploitation grants complete SYSTEM control of the host.
