Authenticated code execution via traversing certificate filename
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Path traversal in Riello UPS NetMan 208 Application before 1.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a file upload. The certificate upload handler at /cgi-bin/certsupload.cgi uses the raw, user-supplied filename as a filesystem path, allowing traversal to overwrite an existing CGI script. Administrative access to the certificate upload feature is required, and requesting the overwritten script runs attacker-supplied commands.
