Unauthenticated file deletion via unvalidated pathname
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Path traversal in Harmonic Design HDForms 1.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files without authentication. The plugin's file-deletion path handling fails to confine an attacker-controlled pathname to an intended directory, but public primary sources do not identify the affected function or request parameter. Any network-reachable WordPress site running an affected version exposes the operation, and deletion of critical files can interrupt the site.
