Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked time parameters
Published Jun 30, 2025 · Updated Jun 30, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC5 firmware 15.03.06.47 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory through crafted HTTP requests. The fromSetSysTime handler processes the time and timeZone request values without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. A valid management session is required, and the overwrite can crash the web service or redirect its execution.
