Kernel compromise via stale FUSE request entry
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux Kernel 6.14 allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through FUSE-over-io_uring operations. The FUSE io_uring termination path frees a non-committed request without removing its processing-list node, leaving a stale entry. A local user able to create a user-namespace FUSE mount, access /dev/fuse, and enable FUSE-over-io_uring can disclose kernel data, corrupt kernel memory, or crash the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
