Service interruption via odd-length SPI transfer

Buffer overrun in the Linux kernel fsl-cpm SPI driver allows local users to interrupt service through an odd-length EEPROM read. The driver enters 16-bit transfer mode without verifying even length, so an exact-size bounce buffer is overrun by an odd transfer. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and affected Freescale CPM SPI hardware; the documented consequence is kernel availability loss.
