Out-of-bounds access via accepted invalid hardware IRQ

Out-of-bounds access in the Linux kernel Microchip EIC interrupt controller allows attackers to access invalid memory via malformed IRQ data. The mchp_eic_domain_alloc() function detects hwirq values of 2 or greater but leaves its return code at success, then uses the invalid value to index the two-entry eic->irqs array. Reachability requires the Microchip EIC driver and an invalid firmware interrupt specification; no unprivileged runtime trigger is documented.
