Local unspecified impact via unchecked query dimensions
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Integer overflow in Linux kernel 6.18 through 6.18.1 allows local users to cause unspecified impact via crafted AMD XDNA query dimensions. The aie2_query_ctx_status_array function multiplies user-controlled num_element and element_size values without first bounding either value. Access requires local low privileges and an AMD XDNA device; upstream states that the overflow does not cause a real issue.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
