Information disclosure via predictable timing-attack delays
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Insufficient randomness in timing delays in Sam Gleske Jervis before 2.2 allows remote attackers to disclose data via timing attacks. The SecurityIO.avoidTimingAttack method selects its mitigation delay with predictable java.util.Random output instead of a cryptographic generator. Exploitation requires enough network observations to predict the randomized delays, and the published consequence is limited to confidentiality.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
