Ciphertext decryption via PKCS1Encoding padding oracle
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
RSA padding weakness in Jervis before 2.2 allows attackers with a decryption oracle to decrypt ciphertext without the private key. SecurityIO.groovy wraps RSAEngine with Bouncy Castle PKCS1Encoding for RSA encryption and decryption instead of OAEP, exposing PKCS#1 v1.5 padding behavior. Exploitation requires observable timing differences or error messages; Jervis's built-in use protects locally stored, short-lived GitHub App tokens.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
