File deletion via crafted CLI pathname
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Path traversal in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, and their Cloud editions allows attackers to delete underlying filesystem files. The CLI passes a crafted pathname to a file-deletion operation without restricting resolution to the intended directory. A privileged CLI session is required, and Fortinet has not identified the affected command, argument, or default reachability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0.0 <=7.0.16
- Affected versionversion=7.2.0 <=7.2.12
