Admin-profile code execution via fazsvcd format string
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Format-string injection in Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer appliances and cloud services allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The fazsvcd daemon uses request-controlled data as a formatting template rather than fixed text; Fortinet has not identified the affected request field or formatting call. An administrator profile is required to submit the crafted request, which runs arbitrary code or commands with the daemon's elevated privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0.0 <=7.0.16
- Affected versionversion=7.2.0 <=7.2.12
- Affected versionversion=7.4.0 <=7.4.10
- Affected versionversion=7.6.0 <=7.6.4
