CVE-2025-68614Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unsanitized alert rule names

Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025

Stored XSS in LibreNMS before 25.12.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser via alert names. The Alert Rule API passes the name to add_edit_rule() without stripping HTML, and Bootgrid later decodes escaped entities while rendering the rule list. The attack requires a high-privilege API token and a user to open Alert Rules; the injected script then runs in the page's origin.
