Authenticated code execution via function-expression context escape
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Improper code control in n8n 0.211.0 through 1.120.3 and 1.121.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute host code. The workflow expression evaluator invokes ordinary function expressions with the Node.js global object as this, exposing process and runtime module loading. Workflow creation or editing permission is required, and executed commands inherit the n8n process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
