Authenticated internal data access via GraphQL URL fetch
Published Jan 5, 2026 · Updated Jan 5, 2026
SSRF in Craft CMS 4.0.0-RC1 through 4.16.16 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.8.20 allows remote authenticated users to read internal data. The GraphQL save__Asset resolver accepts the _file.url value and fetches its destination without rejecting IP-address hosts, then stores the response as an accessible asset. Exploitation requires create and edit permissions for assets in the targeted volume; reachable internal services or metadata endpoints determine the exposed data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
