CVE-2025-68432Public exploit

Code execution via untrusted LSP binary configuration

Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025

Command injection in Zed before 0.218.2-pre allows context-dependent attackers to execute code when a user opens a malicious project file. A project’s .zed/settings.json can set an LSP binary path and arguments, which Zed launches without first requiring worktree trust. Opening a matching source file triggers the configured command with the Zed user’s privileges, allowing host data and processes to be compromised.
