CVE-2025-68389Network attack vector

Authenticated process crash

Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025

Resource exhaustion in affected Elastic Kibana releases allows remote authenticated users to crash the Kibana process via a crafted HTTP request. Elastic has not disclosed the request endpoint, parser, or allocation operation that consumes attacker-controlled input without limits. Low-privileged Kibana access is required; successful exploitation exhausts compute resources and stops the affected process, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
