Improper authorization in Elastic Kibana allows remote authenticated users to expose restricted documents globally via crafted HTTP requests. The document-sharing update path accepts a change to the global sharing type without verifying that the requester holds permission for that scope. A valid Kibana account and document access are required; exploitation exposes the document to everyone in its space without altering its contents.
