Authenticated code execution via unchecked image upload
Published Jun 29, 2025 · Updated Jun 30, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in code-projects Library System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted image upload. The profile.php handler accepts the image filename and content without extension, MIME-type, or content validation, then stores the file in a web-accessible executable directory. A valid librarian session is required, and a successful upload lets attacker-supplied PHP execute with the web server process's access.
