Kernel crash via unallocated async-read completion workqueue

NULL-pointer dereference in iomap direct I/O in Linux kernel 6.18 through 6.18.1 allows local users to crash the kernel. When an asynchronous direct read completes with an error, fs/iomap/direct-io.c defers completion through s_dio_done_wq even though that workqueue was not allocated for asynchronous reads. Triggering the fault requires an asynchronous direct-I/O read-error completion; the resulting kernel fault can interrupt the host.
