Local system hang via recursive filesystem reclaim

Denial of service in affected Linux kernel GFS2 versions allows local users to hang the system through filesystem activity. The new_inode path leaves __GFP_FS in each inode address space's allocation mask, so gfs2_unstuff_dinode can allocate a folio during a transaction and recursively enter filesystem reclaim. Reachability requires local low-privilege access and an affected GFS2 workload; the reported consequence is a filesystem deadlock and resulting system hang, not data disclosure or modification.
