CVE-2025-68336Network attack vector

System interruption via unsynchronized write-lock access

Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025

Data race in the Linux kernel allows remote attackers to cause an unspecified system interruption through concurrent write locking. The debug_write_lock_before path in do_raw_write_lock accesses shared debug state without the single-copy operation used by the corresponding after-lock path, allowing concurrent workers to race. Network access requires no authentication or user interaction; the published impact is limited to availability, and the precise interruption mode is undisclosed.
