CVE-2025-68328

Kernel panic via overwritten driver data

Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025

Denial of service in the Linux kernel Stratix10 service driver allows local users to trigger a kernel panic during driver removal. The probe path stores controller data with dev_set_drvdata after platform_set_drvdata stores the service object on the same device, overwriting the pointer later retrieved by the removal path. Reaching the fault requires administrative permission to unload the driver on an Intel Stratix10 or Agilex SoC, and the resulting panic interrupts the host.
