Local system crash via NULL mapping dereference

NULL pointer dereference in affected Linux kernel builds allows local users to crash the system while splitting a shmem folio. The mm/huge_memory split logic reads mapping->flags before verifying that the folio mapping is non-NULL for swap-cached or truncated shmem folios. Local low-privileged access is required, and the documented impact is an availability-only system crash without data disclosure or modification.
