Parser crash via undersized values allocation
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Memory-allocation error in Linux 6.17 through 6.17.11 allows local users to crash SDCA control parsing during device setup. The mipi-sdca-control-cn-list parser allocates sdca_control.values with byte-sized elements even though the field is an integer array, leaving the buffer undersized when parsed. Reachability requires the ASoC SDCA device-enumeration path; the published impact is a parser crash, with no reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
