CVE-2025-68272Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server crash via unbounded access request storage

Published Jan 1, 2026 · Updated Jan 1, 2026

Denial of service in Signal K Server before 2.19.0 allows remote attackers to crash the server through unauthenticated access requests. The createRequest function in src/requestResponse.js adds every request object to an unbounded in-memory map that pruneRequests clears only every 15 minutes. Repeated POST requests with large payloads to /signalk/v1/access/requests require no account and exhaust the Node.js heap, terminating the process until manual restart.
