Kernel crash via unchecked workspace allocation
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in Linux allows attackers to crash the kernel during AMDGPU AtomBIOS table execution under memory pressure. In amdgpu_atom_execute_table_locked(), a failed kcalloc() leaves ectx.ws NULL while ectx.ws_size remains nonzero, and atom_get_src_int() later dereferences the missing workspace. Reachability requires an AMD GPU table with a nonzero workspace request plus allocation failure; public records do not identify an attacker-controlled trigger.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
