Kernel NULL dereference via missing ops check
Published Dec 16, 2025 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in the Cadence PCIe controller in Linux allows attackers to trigger a kernel fault during PCIe link setup. Cadence glue drivers can leave cdns_pcie::ops unset, but controller code dereferences that optional operations table without checking it first. Reachability requires a Cadence-based platform whose glue driver omits the table; the CNA specifically identifies the upcoming Sophgo platform rather than existing deployments.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
